WORKSHOP DESIGNED FOR NEW DRIVERS
WHAT IS THE NEW DRIVERS PROGRAM?
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
CarFest’s New Driver Program is an engaging, educational, and interactive experience designed to prepare teens for life on the road.
This hands-on workshop provides practical knowledge and valuable skills, including:
Automotive Basics:
Learn the essentials about your vehicle, like checking oil levels, tire pressure, and basic maintenance tips to keep your car running smoothly.
Driving Safety: Gain insights into safe driving practices and how to handle unexpected situations on the road.Rules of the Road: Officers from SAPD will walk participants through important traffic laws, safe driving habits, and tips for staying alert behind the wheel.Interactive
Driving Simulator: Experience real-world driving scenarios in a safe, controlled environment.Team Challenges & Fun Activities: Participate in group challenges that build problem-solving skills and encourage teamwork.
At the end of the workshop, participants will have a chance to win a FREE CAR as part of the daily car giveaway!

Teens aged 15-17 (Birthdate: 1/1/2008 - 12/31/2010).

Parental consent and proof of age are required to participate.

Teens may only sign up for one workshop session during the weekend to ensure fairness.
Registration Deadline: March 15, 2025.

Time Slots:
Saturday: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM OR 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM OR 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Car Giveaway:
When: 4:30 PM on both Saturday and Sunday.
Participants attending on Saturday will be entered into the Saturday Car Drawing, and those attending on Sunday will be entered into the Sunday Car Drawing.
All participants must be present with a parent or guardian to claim their prize.
Entry Fee:
$25 per teen (includes workshop participation, materials, and eligibility for the car giveaway).

San Antonio's Largest Automotive Charity Festival
The Community of Automotive Professionals (CAP) presents the 10th annual CarFest April 4-6, 2025, at the Freeman Coliseum Expo Hall.
CarFest San Antonio is the largest automotive charity festival in Texas! CAP’s goal is to help raise awareness and educate the motoring public about the automotive industry in a fun, family-friendly environment, as well as support our community.
The free event features events for car enthusiasts and the general public alike, including 10 FREE car giveaways, Friday Night Lights, automotive workshops, shopping, food trucks, chili and barbecue cook-offs, a kids’ car track, and more!
In the spirit of giving back, 25 cars will also be repaired onsite for community people in need nominated by reputable nonprofit organizations. Plus, new this year we added a comedy show, a young entrepreneur's marketplace, and animal adoption area by Petunia's Rescue. Bring the whole family for an event you’ll never forget!
